Do you offer discounts for long time rentals?

Yes, we offer discounts after 2 days of rental. You can view them in our terms of rental.

Do you have mileage limitations?

We unite several car rental companies from different countries and some of them have mileage limitations. Please read carefully the details of the selected vehicle.

Can I travel outside Georgia with a rented vehicle?

Apart from Georgia, you can travel to Armenia. Right now, we forbid to travel in other countries. But, you can leave the vehicle at the border of Georgia and our partners on another side will provide with another car. For such needs, please contact us.

Can I let my companion drive instead of me?

Yes, you can. However, you should inform us about it beforehand so we can include your companion in the contract.

Do you charge extra for an additional driver?

We unite several car rental companies from different countries and some of them will charge you for this service. Please read carefully the details of the selected vehicle.

Is it obligatory to return a car with a full fuel tank?

No, you can return a car with the partial amount of fuel and pay the missing amount at the office.

How old do I have to be to rent a car from KM Rental Cars?

We unite several car rental companies from different countries, and some of them have driver's age limitations. Please carefully read the information on the selected vehicle.

How many years of driving experience should I have to rent a car in from KM Rental Cars?

Your driving license has to be issued at least 2 years ago.

What documents do I need to sign a contract?

You need to provide us with a passport and driving license. You have to present full and valid national (country of residence) licence at the time of rental. Licences in non Roman alphabet require presentation of an International Drivers Permit IDP as translation of the national licence. We strongly encourage you to send a scanned copy of them so we can prepare all the documents in advance.

What is contract signing process like?

Contract signing process can take place at our office or at any other location you chose for vehicle delivery. If you have sent a scanned copy of your passport and driving license in forward, we’ll have the documents prepared and all you’ll need to do is to look through the contract and sign it.

Do you rent cars by an hour?

We have daily rates for our car rental service. If you return the vehicle within 24 hours after pick-up, you will still be charged for the full day.

Can I smoke in a rented car?

Tobacco smell roots in the interior of a car and leaves behind an unpleasant odor. In order to keep our cars in a good condition for our customers we don’t allow smoking in the vehicle. We thoroughly inspect cars upon arrival and charge the violators according to the contract

Will you return money I paid if I bring the vehicle back before the scheduled date?

Yes, you will receive a refund, but you have to inform us about the early return no later than 24 hours before the scheduled return.

What if I bring a vehicle back after the return time?

If you feel like being late for the car drop off you have to inform us in forward. The cases of the late return will be considered individually for applying additional charges. While renting the vehicle, company representative - provider will introduce you the terms of rental.

What is MY KM?

MY KM is a customized service presentedtoour clients. After making a booking you will receive an e-mail with booking confirmation and MY KM password. With this password and your e-mail you can log in on MY KM page of our web-site and view, change or cancel your existing reservation. Receive information about Georgian traffic rules and fines, fuel prices, locations of petrol stations in Georgia and other useful tips.

What if I want to add or remove car accessories in the existing booking?

You can always addextra accessories to your existing booking from your MY KM page. If you have not paid yet, you’ll pay the initial amount with the added price. If you have already paid for your rental, you will just add the missing amount.
You can always cancel extra accessories of your existing booking from your MY KM page free of charge. If you have not paid yet, you’ll pay the initial amount with the deducted price. If you have already paid for your rental, you will receive arefund.

What if I want to add or remove chauffeur service in the existing booking?

You can always add a chauffeur service in your existing booking from MY KM page. If you have not paid yet, you’ll pay the initial amount with the added price. If you have already paid for your rental, you will just add the missing amount.
You can cancel chauffeur service from MY KM page at least 24 hours before the service is received free of charge. If you have not paid yet, you’ll pay the initial amount with the deducted price. If you have already paid for your rental, you will receive arefund. If you cancel the service later than 24 hours before the service is received, you will be charged only once by the per day fee of the service.

What if I want to change the initially chosen locations for vehicle delivery or drop off?

You can always change the initially chosen Tbilisi locations for vehicle delivery or drop off of your existing booking from your MY KM page for free. However you should do it in advance to give us time to react upon that change.You can change the initially chosen outside Tbilisi locations for vehicle delivery or drop off of your existing booking from your MY KM page at least 24 hours before the service is received. If you change the details later than 24 hours before the service is received, you will be charged for the service anyway.
If the new location fee exceeds the previous location fee, the amount will be added to your initial charge. If the new location fee is lower than the previous location fee, the amount will be deducted from your initial charge and you will get a refund if you have already paid for rental, or pay the reduced amount if you haven’t paid yet.

What if I want to change my existing booking dates?

You can always add extra days to your existing booking from your MY KM page. If you have not paid yet, you’ll pay the initial amount with the added price. If you have already paid for your rental, you will just add the missing amount. Keep in mind that the vehicle can be booked by someone else by that time, however we will do our best to provide you with the similar class car.
You can also reduce pre-booked days of your existing booking free of charge 72 hours before the pre-booked date which is subject to cancelation. If you have not paid yet, you’ll pay the initial amount with the reduced price. If you have already paid for your rental, you will get a refund. If you cancel the pre-bookeddays later than 72 hours before the date which is subject to cancelation, you will be charged by the daily amount of vehicle hire service for each day canceled (you will be charged for maximum 3 days). Keep in mind, that if you were given a discount for long-term car hire and the deducted days prevent you from getting a discount, you will pay the amount without the discount if you have not paid yet. If you have paid already, you will receive a refund or add the missing amount – according to the new price adjustments.

Payment and deposit

How are the rates calculated?

Rates are calculated by multiplying requested days on the daily price of a chosen vehicle deducting discount if applicable and adding cost for extra accessories, chauffeur and car delivery/drop off service.

Which types of payment methods do you accept?

You can pay online with Visa, MasterСard, American Express or PayPal.
Also, you can pay with Visa, MasterСard or by cash at place.

What is a difference between pay now and pay later options?

The only difference is time of payment. If you choose pay now option you can make a payment upon your booking. In the pay later option you can postpone your payment and make it later from your MY KM account. However it should be done at least 72 hours before the scheduled reservation, or your booking will be canceled.

Do you require a deposit to rent a vehicle?

Sometimes traffic rule violations are recorded by cameras installed on the roads and time needed for processing the recordings is 10 working days.

In which cases can I get billed from my deposit?

Billing cases include: canceling reservation after the deadline, traffic rule violation fines, damaging a car. You will be informed in forward for the occurring billing.

Accidents and insurance

Are your cars insured?

Yes, all our cars are insured from theft, natural disasters and damages of all kind. Our insurance also covers any liabilities towards third party. Medical expenses of a driver and passengers resulting from a traffic accident are indemnified as well.

What should I do if the car is damaged, stolen, or in an accident?

You should immediately call your personal assistant, police and insurance company.

Who pays for the damage of the vehicle?

All of our cars are  insured. Rental price includes - Standard Collision Damage Waiver - CDW. A standard Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) does not cover damage to vehicle wheels, windscreen, windows, and underbody. This is only covered by SCDW.  However there may be arise some situations when you have to make additional payment. Look through the contract for the details.

What does Collision Damage Waiver cover?

Collision Damage Waiver covers is the bodywork: the bonnet, doors, side panels and back of the car. It doesn't cover anything else, such as the engine, wheels, mirrors, windows or interior. The insurance does not cover the windscreen, tire and interior damage. A police report of an incident is required.

The insurance company covers all damage costs in any type of accidents.The insurance cover the windscreen, tire and interior damage. A police report of the incident is required.

Who must pay for the traffic rule violations?

The received fines are paid by the driver.

What is the allowed amount of alcohol in blood for drivers in Georgia?

The allowed amount of alcohol in blood is 0.3promilles. This is approximately equal to 330 ml of beer or 160 ml of wine for a man of an average weight.
