Tour to the North of Georgia, following the ancient trade route, today more known as the Georgian Military Road. After crossing the Great Caucasian ridge along the Cross pass, you can spend unforgettable days surrounded by high mountains and narrow gorges. Day 1: Tbilisi - Ananuri - Gudauri - Kazbegi (Stepantsminda)
Departure from Tbilisi to Kazbegi along the famous military-Georgian road. On the way visit the largest reservoir of eastern Georgia - Zhinvali and the medieval fortress and the Ananuri church. Crossing of the Caucasian ridge on the Cross pass - height 2395m. Immediately after the pass, mineral springs, with a high iron content. From the village of Kobi on jeeps continue the way to the Truso gorge. A short walking tour. Continuation of the road to the town of Stepantsminda, where you can have a snack and a trip to the Daryal Gorge, to the border. Walking tour to the waterfalls of Gveleti. Accommodation in a family hotel in Stepantsminda. Dinner.
Day 2: Kazbegi (Stepantsminda) - the gorge of Sno - the village of Juta - Tbilisi
After breakfast we will go up to the Trinity Church of Gergeti, located at an altitude of 2170 meters above sea level. In good weather, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the famous Kazbek mountain. Return to Stepantsminda and a trip to the canyon of Sno to the village of Jute and trek to the mountains of Chauha, known for its beauty. On the way back, visit the fortress of Sno and walk around the village. Return to Tbilisi.
